Thanks for visiting!

Do your children enjoy drawing, painting, or photography? Are they always wanting to do crafts and have an “artistic” talent that you would love to encourage? Well, hear what the Orlando Musuem of Art (www.omart.org) has in store for your kids this summer!

We talk with Jude Mojher, the Associate Curator of Youth and Family Programs and she shares with us the different summer programs at the Orlando Museum of Art. Sometimes we as parents do not know what makes a good art program or a good art camp. Very candidly, she discusses with us the things parents should be aware of when enrolling their children in a good art program as well as what additional programs are available for our families throughout the year. Guaranteed your children will have a new appreciation for art this summer at the Orlando Museum of Art and will want to come back every summer. Listen to what the hubbub of the Spray, Squiggle and Squirt class is all about. Thanks for listening!

Madness of Motherhood show: Summer Camp Special 001: Rollins College

We’ve all passed by the beautiful Rollins College in Winter Park and have commented on it’s beauty, history, and educational opportunities. But, did you know that for the past 40 years, Rollins College has had a Summer Camp Program?! I was shocked! I had no idea that we were missing out all these years!

In this week’s show, hear what the Rollins College Summer Camp (www.rollins.edu/sps/camp) program is all about! Our guest is Theresa Kent is the Camp Coordinator and she shares with us what the college has to offer our families as well as what a few of her favorite programs are. They have thought of just about everything that your children may be interested in- sailing, critical thinking, swimming, aeronautics, building structures, and so much more. My favorite is “Cooking with the Authors”- it combines my love for cooking and reading! How cool is that? And stay tuned to find out about the Circus class the children love to take! Circus and Rollins? Your children are going to love it!

Madness of Motherhood show 007: Step, Removal, and a Buffet?

We meet a truly inspirational mom, Cathie Rock who is a single mom, runs her own business, Step-N-Squeak, and is a breast cancer survivor. Her touching story forces us to really listen and be thankful for all that we have.

We also answer the questions you’ve all been dying to ask those laser hair removal places. Kathie Smith, ARNP from Ideal Image (www.idealimage.com) gives us the nitty-gritty and shares with us what we can expect , how much it costs and how painful the procedure actually is. Another great place to save time and look beautiful!

Our Restaurant Mom returns to tell us all about a fabulous restaurant where there’s an all you can eat buffet, singing, dancing AND praying… yes, we did say some praying. It’s great for the family and great for your appetites!!!

Madness of Motherhood show 006: Father’s Day Special

This show is a tribute to our husbands for an early Father’s Day. We hear from two wonderful fathers, Charles Cadenhead who has his own podcast, www.desperatehusbands.net and Steven Ford who has a parent blog on Parent Place with the Orlando Sentinel (http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/features_parenting_blog/ ). Charles shares easy and thoughtful ideas of how to be “better husbands” and how he loves being a father to his two children. Steven discusses with us his practical and laid–back perspective on being a father to his two young ones. He provides the “insight” we sometimes need as moms on “how dads think “and he eloquently states that his success on being a good dad is due to his wife and their combined effort as a team. Don’t you just love that?!

We also hear from Michael in Tampa on his Dad Madness Moment of the Week and we find out why the Hummer Dealership wanted to speak to his eight year old son. Finally, we share with you unique and fun Father’s Day gift ideas that should appeal to any type of dad you may have at home. Ladies, don’t forget about our Cruise for a Cause in September so please remember to call 407-322-0344 by June 10th to reserve your three days of relaxation! Thanks so much for listening!
