We all were brought up with the term “Stranger Danger” which pretty much encompassed all of our education about keeping us safe from strangers. In this day and age, that is an outdated and inaccurate practice for us to keep our children safe. Our guest this week basically bursts our bubbles on this one. We welcome Jeff Griesemer from the Child Rescue Network (www.childrescuenetwork.org) to share with us how to keep our kids safe this summer and year round, whether you’re out shopping with the kids or they are surfing the internet.
He very bluntly shares with us some frightening statistics and teaches us the correct way to keep our children safe. Jeff offers some very simple tips such as not having computers in your children’s rooms. Wow! How many of us do that?! Get them out of the rooms and put them in an open place such as your kitchen or other main gathering places. He gives more suggestions so please take the time to listen to this show. You will learn some very important and simple steps to child safety that every parent should know, no matter what age your kids are.
You will also enjoy our Mom Madness Moment of the Week. Another parent sharing some craziness so we all can say, “Thank God, I’m not the only one….” We hope you are having a great and safe summer!
