Have you ever thought that you could write a book and become a famous author? But, how do you even start? In our show today, we meet a local dad and author Mark Jamieson who shares with his journey to publishing his book, Ico Island and how you can be a published author too!

As a college student, he dabbled in short stories and then wrote his book, Ico Island. He pursued the traditional publishing route and hit a dead end. For over 10 years, Island sat on his shelf. Then, he decided to self-publish and in less than 2 years, his dream came true. He discusses with us the differences between traditional publishing and self-publishing; what to look out for when you are researching various self-publishing agencies; and the many advantages to becoming a self-published author. Mark also references two websites that he used to self-publish. Listen and found out which they are!

Plus, we want your feedback to a scenario Michelle encountered in a local restaurant regarding not having one high chair or booster in the entire establishment. I took the diplomatic route, like always… What do you think? Let us know!
