Have you wondered at what point you should take the children or yourself to an orthodontist? Do you get referred by your dentist or can you just walk in? Well, this week we have an incredible orthodontist, Dr. David R. Lach here in Orlando, Florida. He is an incredible family man, passionate individual and a wonderful caring orthodontist.
Dr. Lach begins our interview by sharing with us that he graduated from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and discovered the beauty of Central Florida when he was visiting on a break. Well, that was it! He knew he wanted to start his practice as well as his family here. Good thing he fell in love with our community because his practice has been growing for the last 16 years! That is over 20,000 patients. Wow! How many teeth is that? 20,000 multiplied by 32? An interesting piece of trivia for all of us moms fascinated by numbers…:)
What impressed me the most about Dr. Lach was not his knowledge about orthodontics… it was his statement that you have to put things into place when growing your business.. Family comes first. When you put FAMILY FIRST, it is a sure recipe for success. So, not only does he honor and value his own family, but he puts the families that enter the doors of his office also first. You can all hear his genuine warmth in his voice and his passion is tangible. Almost as if you can touch it with your own fingertips!
He said that you can bring your child as young as 7 in and come in yourself as old as 70 years of age. What’s even better is that all of his initial consultations are for free!!! No CHARGE, moms! When he meets with you, he discusses the possible strategies you may take with your own dental care or your child’s. He tailors each treatment or strategy according to your lifestyle, needs, and of course budget. When I asked him if it was expensive, he was honest in stating that there is an investment…. a minimal investment required. There will be a customized treatment plan for you and will guarantee health and an overall knock-out smile!
He also explained to us a little of the history of orthodontics… bands on the teeth; bond brackets to teeth; wires so there is more efficiency in using braces over time; and even talked about ligature brackets where teeth slide on wires. He mentioned also the Sure Smile Technology where there is robotic technology… yes, you read that correctly, robotic technology that measures the accuracy of the movement up to 100 microns. That’s incredible, don’t you think?
This technology enables you to have braces for half the time normally required in the past because teeth move shorter distances and typical braces have to adujsted frequently, but Sure Smile does not. So, over time, there is less movement so this equals less time.
Lach Orthodontic Specialists is located north of the University of Central Florida on Alafaya Trail. You can call 407-359-1960 to schedule your initial consultation which if you remember from earlier I mentioned is FREE!!!
I do plan to take my older two children to see Dr. Lach just to see if they indeed need some extra loving on their teeth. I know it in my bones that Dr. Lach is the orthodontist for my family. He is dedicated, caring, passionate and knowledgeable. You can’t get any better than that!
Happy Listening!

It is clear that this was an interview with David Lach rather than real patient experience. Dr.Lach is too busy with marketing to provide this “expert care” to patients. My child saw Dr.Lach for over 2 years and the total time spent with the doctor barely amounted to 15 minutes (over a 2 year span) I’m glad he’s got so much knowledge about orthodontics, I only wish he would use it on his paying patients rather than interviews. Moms beware…the first visit is nothing like the rest of the visits you will have and that’s no accident. Once they got your account information patient care becomes obsolete. If you don’t believe me simply do a search on David Lach, his numerous poor reviews will confirm my experiences. YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS orthodontist….just do your homework (I wish I had) You can also check out http://www.ratemds.com, http://www.wellness.com,etc.
Dr. Lach seems very interested in marketing and not so interested in his clients. And as for putting his family first, let’s just say that I’ve met his children and they are attention starved, out of control children.
Hi, I can
